Topic: Displaying Uploaded Videos

Message: there are many tools out there that convert video files such as .mov into web friendly formats (.swf) so it would be at leat useful if there was a facility that would allow to embed videos into discussion or as a file in the 'Docs' which would then open as pop-up window. this is not that much of a hassle to develop...cheers,tomas

Topic: Wiki Question

Message: I have similar issues, basically I want to change the name of a main page (with 2 levels of subpages), and find quite difficult to do it. I can cut & paste the main page, but the link still go to the folder with previous name, I worried I will lose everything if I just delete the old page.

Topic: Side by side version comparisons

Message: I went back to a document today and looked at a side by side comparison with the previous version. The two revisions are clearly different but despite there being a key at the top of the page showing that additions will be in green and deletions in red, the documents themselves had no highlighting applied.

Sorting within a discussion in Central Desktop User Forum : Troubleshooting

Topic: Sorting within a discussion

Message: Thanks for the reply.> Another option is to use a file folder block and sort by "most recent reply", > which will preview the most recent reply for you. This doesn't address the use case -- I'd like to see the whole discussion, but sorted from most recent... not just the latest reply.> Another option for you is to use the FORUM tab or part of the forum tab (just one category perhaps) for this purpose.Again, I don't see how this enables me to see the most recent replies at the top of a discussion. It seems like the Forum view is just a different organizational view... once I click into the discussion itself, to see the actual replies, it has the same discussion functionality as a regular discussion.

Topic: API Question

Message: yvesb: While not via the API, there is a way to currently push docs into CD. Simply use the folder email address (click "More Actions" to get the unique email address for a specific folder in Docs & Discussions). Make sure that the "from" address that your program or script sends from is aliased to an account that has access to that workspace. In this way you can take any external data and programatically email it into Central Desktop.
